Jessica’s variety of DJ monikers is just the jump off; her chameleon-like music throws up names like ‘JOLT’ to ‘4AM JESS’ but she’s best known for her tribute to X-Men character, ‘JUBILEE’, Wolverine’s fierce sidekick who generates fireworks.

Jubilee grew up in South Florida and her obsession with late night club music was powered by Miami bass, breaks and grime. She was a dedicated listener to local Bass and electro DJs on the radio. Eventually Jubilee headed to New York City and her rise to nightlife fame began DJ-ing local events, earning notoriety for her deep knowledge of electronic genres and expertise in bass, uncommon to the city’s music scene.

Jubilee holds down a monthly residence at the infamous ‘Flashing Lights parties at 88 Palace in NYC, with fellow residents DJ Ayres (The Rub) and Nick Catchdubs (Fools Gold Records); hosting the night to a slew of influential guest DJs that have included Todd Edwards, Nadastrom, Toddla T, La Roux, Flosstradamus and Atrak with countless stellar names in underground music showing up to the party.

When she’s not ‘regularly whipping dance floors into a frenzy with her rambunctious combination of bass-heavy electro, upfront house, UK funky, and tropical flavor’ (XLR8R), Jubilee is Publicity Director of the Nightshifters label with Jason Forrest (aka DJ Donna Summer), one that has become synonymous with club smashers. Her ‘PAYPUR ’ EP, co produced with Udachi, was released through the label. She also provided vocals on; the ‘SMOKE RINGS’ track that jumped to the top of the charts with the music video viewed over 10,000 times on YouTube and Vimeo - all within the first week! Not bad for a girl’s first release.

Having made mixes for cult streetwear label Mishka, and influential boutiques such as Krudmart and OldGold, she also released a Miami Bass mix with Philly’s Own Emynd entitled, ‘Shake Whut You Got’, and has released several “Flashing Lights” mixes with DJ Ayres and Nick Catchdubs. Jubilee has been invited to guest on radio stations all over the world including EVR in New York and Triple J Radio in Sydney.

With podcasts for XLR8R under her belt, a DJ set for New Yorker Festival for their ‘Spotlight on Brooklyn’ segment, Jubilee has spread her sparks across the globe in far away lands such as Bucharest, Berlin, London and Reykvavik. In New York, she has played along side heavy hitters like Drop The Lime, The Juan Maclean, Simian Mobile Disco, Digitalism, Jokers of the Scene and Green Velvet. And as the lady who exported Rave Juice to New York’s underground party scene, validating Discobelle to dub her as ‘the most amazing lady in NYC’. Jubilee continues to throw her sass to the dance music flame; effortlessly expanding her talents, letting no one get in her way.
